Man Walking Bicycle In Morris Township Struck By Driver, 91, Hospitalized With Serious Injuries

A bicyclist hit by a car while walking his bike across a Morris Township street was in stable condition in the hospital as of Monday morning, local authorities said.

The 54-year-old man was walking his bike across Craig Road at Sussex Avenue when he was struck by a car driven by a 91-year-old woman around 5:25 p.m. last Saturday, Morris Township police Lt. Robert Shearer said.

The bicyclist was taken to Morristown Medical Center with serious injuries, Shearer said.

Charges for the driver were pending, according to Shearer.
